I’m David O’Connor, founder of reppin’ nature. As a Scottish explorer, filmmaker, and megalithic tour guide, I delve into the rich history of megalithic sites across Scotland and Portugal, including the remarkable dolmens of Portugal.
Through field research, immersive megalithic tours, and film, I explore ancient landscapes and humanity’s relationship with the natural world. My fascination with prehistory blossomed while I spent time in nature and explored hundreds of ancient sites in megalithic sites in Portugal and Scotland. Visits to megalithic landscapes in both regions have shaped my perspective on how these places may have functioned within the broader environment.
My approach focuses on experiential and landscape-based exploration. After years of research and visits to various megalithic sites in Scotland, including notable stone circles in Scotland, I see many of these locations not just as ceremonial monuments but as practical, Earth-centric technologies created in harmony with stone, water, light, sound, and the landscape itself.
I believe that many megalithic sites were designed to enhance wellbeing, promote vitality, and support the continuation of life by working with the natural forces and energies of the Earth.
I’m particularly intrigued by the connections between stone, water, geology, atmosphere, and human experience, as I investigate how ancient peoples may have viewed the Earth as a living interconnected system.
Through my videos, tours, and writing, I aim to share not only the history of these megalithic sites but also the immersive experience of being within them—the atmosphere, scale, landscape, and feelings that make these ancient environments so powerful and memorable.
