I’m David O’Connor, founder of reppin’ nature. I am a Scottish explorer, filmmaker and megalithic tour guide.
Through field research, film and immersive tours, I explore megalithic sites, ancient landscapes and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
My fascination with prehistory and our ancient ancestors emerged through spending time in nature and exploring hundreds of ancient sites across Scotland, Portugal and beyond. Over the years, repeated visits to megalithic landscapes have shaped my perspective on how these places may have functioned within the wider landscape.
My approach is experiential and landscape-based. Through years of field research and repeated visits to hundreds of megalithic sites, I’ve come to view many of these places not simply as ceremonial monuments, but as practical and functional Earth-centric technologies built in relationship with stone, water, light, sound and the landscape itself.
I believe many megalithic sites were designed to support wellbeing, vitality and the continuation of life, working with the natural forces and energies of the Earth rather than against them.
I’m particularly interested in the relationship between stone, water, geology, atmosphere and human experience, and how ancient people may have understood the Earth as a living interconnected system.
Through my videos, tours and writing, I aim to share not only the history of these places, but also the experience of being within them — the atmosphere, scale, landscape and feeling that make these ancient environments so powerful and memorable.
